An anti-terrorism court (ATC) has awarded collective 21-year imprisonment to two men in separate cases pertaining to possession of illicit weapons and explosive material.
The Sindh Rangers had arrested Afroz Alam alias Guddu, said to be a worker of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-London, in November, 2013, while Shahabuddin was apprehended in March, 2017, during targeted operations.
The law-enforcers also claimed to have seized unlicensed weapons and explosive substance from the possession of the convicts. Alam and Shahabuddin were tried separately by different judges who found both of them guilty of the offence.
