KARACHI: Seventh seed Abbas Zeb stunned second seed Zeeshan Zeb to reach the final of the under-19 category of 7th Rehana Nazar Rashidabad National Junior Squash in Rashidabad, Tando Allayar, on Tuesday.
Abbas beat Zeeshan 7-11, 6-11, 11-9, 11-8, 11-7. In the other semi-final, top seed Uzair Rasheed defeated third seed Saifullah 8-11, 11-9, 11-7, 10-12.
In the under-17 semi-finals, unseeded M Harris Qasim beat third seed Naveed Rehman 11-4, 11-5 (retired), while fourth seed Saqib Iqbal won against eighth seed Hassan Raza 7-11, 13-11, 11-9, 12-10.
In the under-15 semi-finals, top seed Asadullah beat third seed Waleed Khalil 11-3, 11-4, 11-5, while fourth seed Hammad Khan defeated second seed Ali Sher 11-5, 12-10, 11-5.
In the under-13 semi-finals, top seed Mohammad Ammad beat fourth seed M Khan 11-5, 11-3, 11-6 and second seed Usman Nadeem won against third seed Mutahir Ali Shah 7-11, 17-15, 11-7, 11-7.
In the under-11 category, top seed Anas Bukhari beat third seed Abdullah Nawaz 11-3, 11-6, 11-3 and M Hanif won against qualifier Shoaib Afzal 11-7, 11-3, 12-10.
