Kaira demands Shahbaz,Sana resign

GUJRANWALA: PPP central Punjab president Qamar Zaman Kaira has said if Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah do not resign, then the final decision will be made in the all parties committee meeting on January 21.

Talking to media here on Sunday, Kaira said that he did not expect provision of justice in the presence of Shahbaz Sharif. All the parties which were a part of the APC would participate in the Lahore protest on January 17, he told.

He said that he had arrived in Gujranwala to motivate the party workers for the protest. The Kasur incident was a proof of bad governance of the Punjab government while Justice Baqir Najfi report had unveiled various ministers and officers who were involved in the Model Town incident, Kaira added. Both tragedies of Model Town and Kasur happened in the Punjab, which showed poor performance of the rulers, he maintained. He said that Shahbaz Sharif had failed to arrest the accused involved in Zainab kidnap and murder case. The Punjab police had no ability to trace the accused, he continued.

Commenting on the Indian threats, he said that our military was very strong to defend the country and the whole nation was united against India.

MINOR DIES AFTER FALLING INTO MANHOLE: A three-year-old boy died after falling into an open manhole at Professors Colony on Sunday. Abdul Rafeh was playing in a street when suddenly he fell into an open manhole. As a result, he died.

FIRE IN HOSPITAL: Panic was created when fire broke out in the Children Ward of the DHQ Hospital here on Sunday.

Reportedly, the fire broke out in the Children Ward due to short circuit. At this, patients and their attendants ran away from the ward. Later, the fire was extinguished.
