Action against gas home appliances firms

LAHORE: Pakistan Standards and Quality Control Authority (PSQCA) started a grand operation against illegal brands of gas home appliances and sealed five companies. According to a spokesman for the PSQCA, the operation was started after PSQCA DG Khalid Siddiq directed the officers to take stern action against the companies illegally preparing substandard gas home appliances. A team of Conformity Assessment Central(c) II inspected Township Market and sealed five companies of gas home appliances for working without licences. The team also issued warning notices to the shopkeepers who were involved in selling fake brands.
