Badar hits second successive ton as Pakistan thrash Nepal
KARACHI: Badar Munir smashed his second consecutive century as Pakistan recorded their second successive win when they overwhelmed Nepal by nine wickets in the Blind Cricket World Cup at Jinnah stadium, Gujranwala, on Tuesday.
Nepal posted 258-6 after winning the toss. Nepal started off well with an opening partnership of 105 between Ramish Bahadur and Badri. The partnership was broken when Ramish was dismissed by Haroon Khan after scoring 54.
Sunil Subedi got run out after scoring only four runs.
Padam Badaila added 58 with Badri, who departed after making 47.
Padam along with Khimananda add 44. Khimananda remained not out on 30.
Badar struck 26 boundaries in his 126-run innings to enable Pakistan to chase the target in the 21st over.
Mohsin Khan scored unbeaten 74 off 47 balls with nine boundaries. Badar got run out when Pakistan were on 177. Amir Ashfaq scored 46.
Badar was named the Man-of-the-Match.
