‘PTI govt serving masses selflessly’

NOWSHERA: Chief Minister Pervez Khattak inaugurated three projects in health, education and communication sector in Ziarat Kaka Saihib Union Council of his native Nowshera district on Friday.

He opened the Category D Hospital which was completed with Rs 358. 346 million cost. The other project was Government Girls Higher Secondary School whose construction cost stood at Rs 24.802 million. The third project was a bridge which was completed with Rs 13.21 million spending.

Later, the chief minister addressed a public meeting and a reception hosted in his honour by senior lawyer, Muhammad Riaz Khan. The CM said PTI was the only political party which was well aware of the problems faced by the masses and wanted to have them resolved. "We have no personal agenda to further but want to serve the people," he went on to say.

Pervez Khattak came down hard on his predecessors and accused them of resorting to corruption and damaging the institutions to draw benefits. "The situation would have been much different today had the politicians who ruled the country and this province in the past had not destroyed the institutions by undue interference," he said while accusing the politicians of being incompetent.

The chief minister said the PTI-led Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government took practical measures during the last over four and half years to implement the agenda of change. The chief minister said the PTI-led government equipped state-run hospitals with equipment and appointed required staff at these health facilities. "We introduced free health services to the deserving citizens through the sehat cards, which is proving to be a highly useful measure," he explained.

In the education sector, Pervez Khattak said, the provincial government recruited 45,000 teachers.Flaying the Awami National Party, he said the leaders of this nationalist party were virtually confined to their homes due to the poor law and order situation even when they were ruling the province. "Now they are roaming freely due to the improved law and order situation in KP," he pointed out. He was critical of religio-political parties and said these did nothing to serve the people of this province during their tenure.
