NAB decides to initiate probe into various complaints

PESHAWAR: The National Accountability Bureau Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (NAB KP) on Thursday decided to initiate preliminary probe into various complaints.

The decision was taken at a meeting held under the chairmanship of Brig (Retd) Farooq Naser Awan, Director General NAB (KP), for disposal of complaints lodged against corrupt individuals, said a press release.

The meeting was attended by directors, additional directors, case officers, senior legal consultants and other concerned officers. Several important decisions were taken at the meeting.

A probe was authorised against officers of Directorate of Health Services, Fata, and others regarding corruption and corrupt practices.

The officers are alleged to have embezzled funds in Rs200 million worth projects for anti-polio vaccination in Fata.

Another probe has been initiated against officers of Police Department, Bannu about corruption and corrupt practices.

A preliminary probe was also authorized against Komail Khan (private person) regarding cheating public at large on the pretext of fake Mudarraba business.

The man lured general public to invest in the mudarraba business by providing exorbitant profit.

An initial probe was also authorized against ZRK Industries (Pvt) Ltd, Peshawar Particle Board Industries (Pvt) Ltd and Alliance Wood (Pvt) Ltd regarding money laundering scams.
