MUZAFFARABAD: Azad Jammu and Kashmir President Sardar Masood Khan has said that they will complete development work in the far-flung areas of AJK on priority basis.
Sardar Masood said this while addressing the participants of a public gathering here at Bani Singola, Poonch on Wednesday. The event was organized by the local people in honour of AJK president who is on a three-day official visit to Poonch to monitor the progress on various development projects.
The AJK president said that despite limited resources, they would construct and expand the road network in AJK, and provide the best health, educational, and municipal facilitates to the people Azad Jammd and Kashmir. He said that basic health units would be established which will be equipped with the requisite staff and medical facilities. He also said that issues relating to water shortage will be addressed and modern water supply schemes would also initiated in the area.
Highlighting the importance of education, the president said that dedicated effort will be made to address the shortage of staff at schools in the region. Special focus will also be given on improving enrolment and retention of students at local schools, he said.
Lamenting the inattention of the international community over the human right violations taking place in Indian Occupied Kashmir, the AJK president said that Indian forces were torturing their Kashmiri brothers and sisters each and every day.
