PESHAWAR: Noted religious scholar Maulana Muhammad Ismail’s new book on the issue of inheritance in Islam was launched at a ceremony here on Sunday.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Local Government, Inayatullah Khan was the chief guest on the occasion.
The event was held at the Peshawar Medical College. The book has been published by the Tafheem-i-Deen Academy in Hayatabad headed by Maulana Muhammad Ismail.
The book titled “Falsafa Ahkam-i-Meeras” (The philosophy of the decrees on inheritance) deals with the issue of inheritance in the light of Islamic teachings.
In his speech, Maulana Muhammad Ismail said he had tried to fill a void and explain in simple words the often-ignored issue of inheritance in accordance with the teachings of Quran and Sunnah.
The 355 page book is in Urdu and is dedicated to his late father. Maulana Muhammad Ismail belongs to Lower Dir district and is the prayer leader at a mosque in Hayatabad Phase 6.
He wrote this book as part of his thesis for his M Phil degree in Islamic studies from the Qurtuba University in Peshawar.
