Khattak orders facilitation of housing, industrial schemes
PESHAWAR: Chief Minister Pervez Khattak on Saturday directed the relevant authorities to address the issues of Jalozai Housing Scheme and Jalozai Economic Zone to facilitate the housing and industrial schemes.
He directed the officials to formalise all agreements with the potential investors to set up business ventures in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
An official handout said that he was presiding over a meeting at the Chief Minister’s House to review progress on the Jalozai Housing Scheme and Jalozai Industrial Estate.
Member Provincial Assembly Mian Khaleequr Rehman, administrative secretaries of housing and industries and high-ups of concerned departments attended the meeting.
The chief minister was briefed about the construction work, the infrastructure development and the provision of facilities at the sites.
The chief minister ordered to accelerate work on mosques, schools, hospitals, community centres, playgrounds, colleges, sanitation and drain system in the housing schemes.
Pervez Khattak hoped that the infrastructure development in the housing scheme would soon be completed.
He said the infrastructure that included mosques, schools and colleges, hospitals, community centres, playgrounds, sanitation and drain would make the housing scheme more attractive.
The chief minister added that those who were allotted plots of land should start construction.
Pervez Khattak directed the officials to speed up infrastructure development for the industrial purposes in the Jalozai Economic Zone.
He added that a separate gridstation would speed up the process of construction in the economic zone.
Pervez Khattak directed the officials to take measures for the rehabilitation of the Gadoon Industrial Zone.
About the Hattar Industrial Estate, he said some investors were willing to set up industrial units there.
The chief minister directed the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Economic Zones Development and Management Company to coordinate with potential investors.
About the Malaysian Halal Food Project, he directed the relevant officials to expedite the acquisition of land.
