Mardan, Charsadda press clubs office-bearers elected
MARDAN: Lutfullah Lutf was elected unopposed president and Mohammad Riaz Mayar general secretary of the Mardan Press Club on Wednesday.
Those elected to other offices included Mohammad Arif Khan (vice-president), Parvez Shaheen (finance secretary) and Yousaf Khan Mayar (joint secretary).
Election committee chairman, Imran Younas, announced the results and said all the office-bearers had been elected unopposed. Newly-elected president and general secretary vowed to work jointly for the welfare of the community.
Meanwhile, Charsadda Press Club elected office-bearers for the year 2017-18. Sabz Ali Khan Tarin was elected president of the club and Ihsan Sherpao as general secretary. Other office-bearers were Kifayatullah, vice-president, Saifullah Jan, joint secretary, Hafiz Wazir Muhammad, finance secretary, and Siraj Ali, office secretary. Sartaj Khan, Fazal Wahab, Ali Akbar, Wajid Ali and Nasir Ali were elected to governing body.
