LAHORE: Chief Traffic Officer SSP Rai Ijaz Ahmad has greeted Christian traffic wardens and cut Christmas cake at his office. He gave Rs 2,000 in cash, CC-III certificates and three holidays to 34 Christian traffic wardens and staff.
“Christian staff always do its works with full dedication, honesty and attention. Whenever any task has been given to any Christian traffic warden or staff, they do it full commitment. We are equally happy with Christian community on the eve of Christmas,” he said.
EXPAT: With the intervention of Overseas Pakistanis Commission (OPC) Punjab, an expatriate got possession of his house worth Rs 7 million. Commissioner, OPC, Afzaal Bhatti said Sajjad Ahmad, settled in Ontario, Canada, filed a complaint that he purchased a house in Eidgah, Sahiwal. Previous owner told him that the tenant living in the house will vacate the house after sometime. But when the tenant was asked to vacate the house, he refused to do so. The complaint was referred to District Overseas Pakistanis Committee (DOPC) Sahiwal and with the help of members of DOPC, the overseas Pakistani got the possession of his house, he added.
LGH staff: Punjab Para Medical Staff Association on Thursday held Christmas ceremony here at Lahore General Hospital (LGH). A 150 pounds cake was prepared to celebrate the occasion. According to a press release, nurses and LGH staff attended the ceremony and congratulated each other. Para Medical Staff Association President Rana Pervaiz along with Rehmat Sindhu, Amanat Saghar, Haji Irfan, Fazal Aasi and Amanat Ali attended the ceremony.

Christian employees took part in special service and offered prayer for prosperity of country. A one-minute silence was observed to express condolence on Quetta incident.
tax clinic: Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA) held a tax clinic in order to provide necessary understanding of PRA Laws and Punjab Sales Tax on Services (withholding tax) Rules 2015 applicable on all government departments including public sector corporations.
A representative for PRA said some 75 departments attended the seminar. After the clinic, the departments were in better understanding of tax laws. PRA expected a substantial increase in collection of Punjab Sales Tax from public sector organisations.
