Son, mother die of suffocation
MANSEHRA: A man and his mother suffocated to death while his daughter fell unconscious at Ghazikot township here early Saturday morning.
Police said that Mohammad Azam, an employee of Education Department, his mother and daughter Imama, 8, had fallen unconscious due to gas leakage from a room heater.
The family members had turned on the gas heater to warm the room. However, the heater stopped working due to gas loadshedding and when it was restored they had fallen asleep.
As the heater was on, it filled the room with gas that suffocated the three persons sleeping in the room.
The inmates living in a rented house took the three persons to the King Abdullah Teaching Hospital where doctors pronounced Azam and his mother dead.
The condition of Imama was stated to be out of danger.
