Rawalpindi JI announces names of candidates for general polls
Rawalpindi : Jamaat-e-Islami (JI), Rawalpindi district (rural), has announced names of its probable candidates for the next year’s general elections.
The Rawalpindi district (rural) comprises some parts of Rawalpindi Cantonment, Taxila, Wah Cantt and Gujar Khan.
Shamsur Rehman Swati, ameer Rawalpindi district, announced names of Chaudhry Abid Hussain, Chauhdry Ata Rabbani and Muhammd Waqas Khan as candidates from three National Assembly constituencies:NA-51, NA-52 and NA-53 respectively.
The candidates for Punjab Assembly seats include Raja Muhammad Jawad (PP-3), Raja Muhammad Umair (PP-4), Chaudhry Abid Hussain and Miza Khalid Mahmood (PP-5), Muhammad Taj Abbas (PP-6), Khawaja Waqar (PP-7) and Muhammad Waqas (PP-8).
The names of Irfan Bhatti and Attique Kaashmiri have also been proposed from PP-5 and PP-7. The names would be sent to the central parliamentary board of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) in Lahore for selection of final candidates.
