Banned outfit’s operative arrested by Rangers

An operative of a banned outfit was arrested by the Sindh Rangers on Thursday. A spokesman for the paramilitary force said a suspect identified as Abdul Ghafoor was arrested in a raid conducted in Madina Colony. The suspect was said to be an operative of the banned outfit, Sipah-e-Mohammad Pakistan, who was wanted for involvement in multiple criminal cases.
Ghafoor’s arrest came a day after the Rangers had apprehended a Sipah-e-Mohammad Pakistan operative from the city’s Rizvia Society area. The suspect, identified as Syed Atif Abbas Naqvi, was arrested in an intelligence-based raid and was said to be wanted for target killings, extortion and other heinous crimes.
