Light rain & hailstorm hit parts of Peshawar
PESHAWAR: The light rain and hailstorm hit parts of the provincial capital in the evening turning the weather chillier after it was brought down to 11 degree centigrade.
The light rain and drizzles hit scattered parts of the provincial metropolis. However, the localities around Defence Officers Colony, Shami Road, were hit by hailstorm. Scattered localities in the city received rain from one to 7 millimeters (mm).
The weather remained cold and cloudy in most parts of the region, the Met Department reported. However, rain and snowfall over the hills occurred at widespread places in the region.
Rain recorded in millimeters are: Kakul 33mm, Risalpur, 25mm, Malam Jabba,20mm, Dir and Pattan18 mm (each), Mirkhani, 5mm, Kalam14mm, Balakot 10 mm, Drosh 8mm, Timergara, Chitral, Peshawar Airport 7mm (each) Saidu Sharif 6mm, Parachinar, Bannu 1mm. Malam Jabba received 10 (inch) snowfall and Kalam received 7 (inch).
