Chairman Ataul Haq Qasmi resigns from state-run TV

ISLAMABAD: Chairman state-run TV Ataul Haq Qasmi has resigned from his post. In his resignation Ataul Haq Qasmi alleged that he could not succeed in restoring glory of official TV due to current circumstances prevailing in the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, therefore his resignation should be accepted. The sources have confirmed that secretary information did not receive his resignation. However, senior officials of Ministry of Information tried to confirm that his resignation was genuine or fake. The direct contact with Ataul Qasmi was not made as his and his close friends’ mobile phones remained off.
