Man forces wife to drink acid over property row

GUJRANWALA: A man forced his wife to drink acid and later tortured her for allegedly not transferring her plot in his name.

Talking to media at DHQ hospital, Shabana of Kalar Abadi told that her parents gave her a plot. Her drug addict husband Asmat and his other family members were demanding her to transfer that plot in Asmat’s name. “After my refusal, he along with other family members not only tortured me brutally but also forced me to drink acid and threw me in the street,” she informed. Baghbanpura police have started investigations.

ONE KILLED, THREE INJURED IN ACCIDENT: One person was killed and three others injured in a road accident here at Dharam Kot on Tuesday. It was reported that a family was going in a car. When they reached near Dharam Kot, their car was collided with a tractor trolley which resulted in the on-the-spot death of Sidra, 24 while three others were injured. The Rescue 1122 team shifted the injured persons and dead body to DHQ hospital.

MAN INJURED IN CYLINDER BLAST: A man was injured in cylinder blast here at Pindi Bypass, Gujranwala on Tuesday. It was told that Naeem was busy refilling the gas cylinder when a cylinder suddenly blasted. Naeem received injuries and was shifted to DHQ hospital.
