GHALLANAI: The lone private library on Tuesday extended its mobile services to more areas to promote education in Federally Administered Tribal Areas (Fata).
The owner of the first ever private library in tribal areas, Najeebullah Mohmand, distributed books among students through its mobile service in Michani in Mohmand Agency in this connection.
A large number of tribal elders and students and youth were also present.
Najeebulah said the tribal areas were less developed in term of education and the students needed general knowledge, medical, engineering and other books to take competitive examinations.
He vowed to continue his efforts for promotion of education and book reading habit among the tribal youth to improve their general knowledge and enable the poor students to complete their studies.
The students appreciated the initiative, saying a large number of students quit study for lack of books.
They asked the Governor Iqbal Zafar Jhagra, Fata secretariat and other organisations working for promotion of education to provide a building to the library and books to it to promote education in the tribal areas.
