Aqeel, Shahzad greeted on winning title

ISLAMABAD: Subh-e-Nau Chairperson Shahida Kausar Farooq has greeted tennis players Aqeel Khan and Shahzad Khan for becoming the first Pakistani pair to win an ITF Futures doubles title.
The duo achieved the feat in the just concluded Serena ITF Futures International I tennis tournament.In a statement on Monday, Mrs Farooq said it was a great achievement by the duo. “Aqeel Khan has always brought pride for the country and once again he has proved that age is not a matter when you are fit enough to perform on such a stage.”
She also congratulated the Pakistan Tennis Federation management for holding ITF Futures event in Pakistan and providing an opportunity to “our players to compete with international stars in their own backyard”.
