The Sindh Rangers arrested 15 suspects, including two Lyari gangsters and two political workers, in different targeted raids conducted in the metropolis on Monday.
A Rangers spokesman said two gangsters were arrested in raids conducted in Lyari’s Chakiwara and Kalri areas. Both criminals were said to be members of Lyari’s Baba Ladla gang and were identified as Qasir and Sheroz.
The two were said to be involved in hand grenade attacks on police teams, drug peddling and several other criminal activities. In separate raids in the city’s Tipu Sultan and Shah Latif Town areas, a Rangers team arrested two political activists.
The two men, identified as Shahid Khan and Mohammad Nazim, were accused of involvement in various criminal activities. The paramilitary force also apprehended three suspected robbers from Lyari’s Chakiwara and Kalakot areas.
The three men were identified as Saeed, Zaman and Imtiaz and accused of involvement in multiple robbery incidents in the metropolis. Furthermore, the Sindh Rangers arrested eight street criminals in raids carried out in Lyari, Madina Colony and Shah Latif Town. Weapons, narcotics and looted items were recovered from the suspects.
