The bipolar turp treatment for patients of prostate problem through latest machine has been started at Lahore General Hospital. The treatment is low cost and more effective especially for the heart patients who already have pacemaker.
According to press release issued here on Sunday, the machine worth Rs 3 million has been donated to LGH by a donor with the efforts of Prof Dr M Nazir, who has already completed four successful operations through this system, and the patients have fully recovered.
Post Graduate Medical Institute Principal Prof Dr Ghias un Nabi Tayyab expressed his satisfaction and said that the bipolar turp treatment would be low cost and more beneficial for the patients. He said the treatment cost around Rs 300,000 in private sector while in LGH it would be almost free of cost. He praised the donor of the machine and Prof Dr M Nazir.
