Hamza, Asad win gold medals in Malaysia
ISLAMABAD: Hamza Khan and Asadullah Khan clinched Under-13 and Under-15 titles respectively in the Red-Tone KL Junior Squash Championships that concluded in Malaysia Sunday.
In the Under-13 category, Hamza Khan beat Harith Danial Jefri 11-6, 11-6, 11-6 to win the gold medal.
Asadullah Khan defeated Joachim Chuah 12-10, 12-14, 12-10, 11-7 in the Under-15 final to win the gold.
However, in the Under-19 category, Mansoor Zaman stood third by beating Danial Nuhaqiem 10-12, 11-9, 3-11, 11-7, 11-6 Whereas Uzair Shoukat also grabbed 3rd position in U-17 category by beating Nathan Tzebing Kueh 10-12, 17-19, 12-10, 11-6, 15-13.
The Pakistan Squash Federation sponsored a group of junior players from National Squash Academy for participation in the event.
