Yousaf shines for Rawalpindi Under-16s
ISLAMABAD: Rawalpindi tamed Karachi by five wickets in the National Under-16 Cricket Tournament at the Pindi Stadium on Saturday.
Mubashir Nawaz (97) top-scored as Karachi were bowled out for 184 while batting first. Yousaf Shah (76 not out) then played a match-winning innings for Rawalpindi as they reached the target in the 39th over.
Scores in brief: Rawalpindi beat Karachi by 5 wickets: Karachi 184 all out in 35.3 overs (Mubashir Nawaz 97; Farhad Khan 3-22, Ibrarulllah 3-39). Rawalpindi 189-5 in 39 overs (Yousaf Shah 76 not out, Ibrarullah 34 not out; Musharaque Sarwar 1-17, Zeeshan 1-27).
Islamabad beat Multan by 65 runs: Islamabad 178 all out in 37.4 overs (Hassan Abid 55; Muhammad Haseeb 2-18, Abdul Rehman 2-24). Multan 113 all out in 30 overs (Mohammad Haseeb 22; Hassan Abid 3-14, Abdul Jabbar 2-12).
