Robbers injure man on resistance

LAHORE: Twelve motorcycles and two cars were stolen from various parts of the provincial metropolis on Thursday.
Bikes were stolen from the areas of Shadbagh, Lower Mall, Shahdara, Shahdara Town, Gujarpura, Civil Lines, Baghbanpura, Hanjarwal, Chung, Nawankot and Shalimar. Two cars were stolen from Samanabad and Gulshan Ravi.
Meanwhile, robbers shot at and wounded one, Waqar, on resistance at his residence at Hanjarwal and looted valuables worth Rs2,62,000. Similarly, robbers looted valuables in Iqbal Town, Faisal Town, Ichhara, Green Town, South Cantt, Shahdara and Township areas.
Five officers transferred: The Punjab government on Thursday issued notifications regarding transfer and posting of five officers. According to details, Member Social Infrastructure Babar Hayat Tarar and Member Private Sector Development P&D Mahmood-ul-Hassan have replaced each other.
ADCG Vehari Ameer Bukhsh has been transferred and posted as Director Admin and Finance PHA Multan. Hayatullah (awaiting posting) has been posted as Additional Deputy Commissioner Finance and Planning Jhang. Social Welfare Section Officer Ghulam Yasin has been posted as ADCG Dera Ghazi Khan.
