Two militants nabbed in Chaman operation
QUETTA: The law-enforcement agencies have apprehended two militants from Chaman area of Killa Abdullah district, who were allegedly masterminds of an attack on Killa Abdullah DPO Sajid Khan Mehmond and various other criminal activities. Balochistan Home Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti informed this while addressing a press conference Tuesday at the office of IGP.
He said the militants are residents of Chaman. Bugti said Killa Abdullah DPO was martyred and 17 others injured in a suicide blast on July 17 and the arrested culprits were the masterminds of the attack. He said both the criminals confessed their involvement in various crimes including kidnapping for ransom and others. He further said both were trained by the TTP in Afghanistan. To a query, he said strict measures were taken to control movement of terrorists from the border. He said the provincial government was taking all possible steps for elimination of terrorism.
