NAB authorises inquiries

PESHAWAR: The National Accountability Bureau Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (NAB KP) has authorised inquiries against several people.
The decisions were made during the Regional Board Meeting (RBM) chaired by NAB KP Director General Brig (R) Farooq Naser Awan, said a press release.
Directors, additional directors, case officers, senior legal consultants and other concerned officers were also present.
The board authorised an inquiry against Chinar Gul alias Hamza and Waliullah, managing director, Sheikh Yaseen Town, Peshawar.
They have been accused of having deprived general public of Rs1.12 billion through investment in the Sheikh Yaseen Town.
The meeting was told that probe has also been initiated into complaints against officials of Revenue Department in Hairpur for alleged involvement in corruption and corrupt practices. 
The release said the bureau had also taken cognisance of corruption and corrupt practices by Muhammad Zubair, XEN C&W Department in Frontier Region Kohat and others for alleged involvement use of substandard material in construction of roads and other issues.
An investigation was also initiated against officials of Irrigation Department in Charsadda.
A probe was authorised against officials of Pakhtunkhwa Highways Authority and others as well.
