New commissioner directs to expedite work on ongoing schemes

The newly designated Commissioner, Rawalpindi, Nadeem Aslam Chaudary has directed to expedite the pace of on-going development schemes and ensure the completion of schemes of current year by 31 December 2017.
He said that no delay in the approved schemes will be tolerated as prerequisite funds have already been transferred to concerned departments as per their demand. District government is vigilant to provide all out resources as assistance in this regard and to solve whatever hindrance comes across, so with all these backings none of the delay would be justified, he added.
Nadeem Aslam Chaudary further added that we are heedful to provide our people with better health, medical and education facilities for which enormous schemes have been initiated which after completion will surely be of great benefit for common people and will help to improve their living standard.
He expressed these views while chairing meeting of Divisional development Working party to review headway of current schemes. Deputy Commissioner Tallat Mehmood Gondal, Director Finance and Planning Noureen Bashir, MD WASA Raja Shaukat Mehmood, ADC Arif Raheem, SE Buildings, XENs and other concerned officials were also present at the meeting.
While briefing the meeting about detailed status of schemes Director Finance & Planning Noureen Bashir said that under the Local Development Program construction of 4 No. Link roads in PP-21 with a length of 8.30 km and cost of Rs69.510 million are submitted. Another schemes with estimated cost of 147.818 Million for rehabilitation and construction of rain and snow damaged road during (2016-17) in Tehsil Murree and Kotli Sattian is submitted. Under the supervision of WASA, water supply schemes in PP-14 including installation of tube wells, filtration plants, laying of water supply line and sewer line are received.
Moreover she added that Rs163.923 Million are recommended for establishment of Public park in NA-52. This park will include cricket ground, football ground, parking area, food area and walking & jogging track with flood lights.
