Politicians behind delay in sugarcane crushing: KBP

The Kissan Board Pakistan (KBP) alleged that politicians have joined hands for delaying sugarcane crushing and fleecing hapless farmers on account of low price of their crop. KBP Central President Ch Nisar Ahmed said, “Sugarcane crushing season is being delayed as politicians are united against farming community.” He said there was no reason of delaying crushing season. “Sugar mills should have started crushing from Nov 23 as per court order”, he said and added that failure would only add to the problems of farmers.
