Salman qualifies for Qatar Circuit No-4 main round

KARACHI: Salman Saleem qualified for the main round of the $15,000 Qatar Circuit No-4 at Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex, Doha, on Friday. In the first qualifying round, Salman defeated Varun Johnny of India 11-1, 11-0, 11-2 in just 14 minutes. He will face fourth seed Yousef Suleman of Egypt in the main round.
Haseeb Taj lost to Rashid Al Harib of Qatar 9-11, 3-11, 0-11 in 19 minutes and Abdullah Al Muzayen of Kuwait defeated Abdul Qadir 11-0, 11-6, 11-3 in 17 minutes. Pakistan’s Ahsan Ayaz and Adil Maqbool are already in the main round of this event.
