BARA: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) leader Noorul Haq Qadri said on Wednesday that his party had ensured good governance in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Addressing a public meeting in Jamrud tehsil, he said nobody would dare change the Khatam-e-Nabuwwat declaration as finality of prophethood was part of every Muslim’s faith.
He said that the PTI was striving to implement its reform agenda and work for the wellbeing of all segments of the society.
Noorul Haq Qadri added reforms would be introduced to benefit the tribal people who are faced with a host of problems. He said the tribespeople should be taken into confidence before deciding the future of the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (Fata).
Speaking on the occasion, provincial Minister Shah Farman said the government wanted to merge Fata with the province. He said most of the tribal people wanted to work for the development of the country.
He said that Fata Youth Convention would soon be held in Islamabad to give an opportunity to the tribal youth to air their grievances.
The tribal people had always rendered sacrifices for the country and no effort would be spared to mitigate their sufferings, the minister maintained.
He said the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa people were also in favour of merging Fata with KP.
Shah Farman added that infrastructure was destroyed in prolonged militancy in Fata and people lost their jobs.
He claimed the PTI government had launched development project in various cities in the province for the welfare of the people.
He said the PTI would also emerge victorious in the next general election as its popularity was increasing day by day and new people were joining it. “We will win the next general election on the basis of our performance,” he vowed.
