Defence expo in Islamabad: Seminar on defence industry from Nov 28

Islamabad: Defence Export Promotion Organisation (DEPO) will organise a two-day International Seminar - 2017 on ‘Pakistan's Defence Industry: Export Potential, Challenges and Prospects’, from November 28 to 29 here in collaboration with Sustainable Development Policy Institute (SDPI).
Renowned national and international subject matter experts will present their scholarly papers on the subject during two days plenary sessions of the seminar. The seminar predominantly revolves around the corporate interests of public and private defence industry of Pakistan and aimed at providing policy guidelines to the Government of Pakistan to further optimize the potential in defence industry for economic growth of the country.
Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi will inaugurate the seminar to be attended by cabinet members, members of the standing committees, foreign diplomats, senior level military leadership, public and private sector defence industry stakeholders, entrepreneurs, R&D specialist, financial experts, and members of various chambers of commerce of the country.
The DEPO is the premier institution for promoting and showcasing the potential of public as well as private sector defence industry of Pakistan. DEPO also regularly organizes seminar and conferences which greatly facilitate in exploring new avenues of defence collaborations with global defence industries.
These seminars provide a common platform to entrepreneurs, R&D specialist, financial experts, and policy makers to evaluate whole domain of defence industry and its contribution towards overall economic development of Pakistan.
