QWP lawmaker criticises own party leadership

CHARSADDA: Member Provincial Assembly (MPA) belonging to Qaumi Watan Party (QWP) Sultan Muhammad Khan on Tuesday said that party chairman Aftab Sherpao and his son Sikandar Sherpao turned the party into a traditional political party.
Speaking at the meet-the-press programme of Charsadda Press Chamber, the lawmaker questioned the policies of Aftab Sherpao and QWP provincial chief Sikandar Sherpao.
He said that he was against the decision of joining the coalition government of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) but the father and the son had ignored him.
He said that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) was the only true political party where there was no traditional politics. He said that the policies of the PTI had impressed him and that was why he was supporting Chief Minister Pervez Khattak. He also supported the PTI’s call for early election, saying the federal government had failed on all fronts and running the country on loans.He also supported the electoral alliance between the PTI and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Sami.
