ISLAMABAD: An Islamabad High Court (IHC) bench on Monday issued a stay order in respect of a Land Acquisition Collector (LAC) notification dated October 28, 2016 for acquiring land for the Supreme Court Bar Association Housing Society (SCBAHS). Justice Athar Minallah issued the said order on the petition of Government Officers Cooperative Farming Society Ltd (GOCFSL) that claims that out of 8194 Kanal land acquired for SCBAHS, 1000 Kanals fall in the land of GOCFSL that is registered since 1990.
