IGP directs cops to ensure smooth flow of traffic

PESHAWAR: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Salahuddin Khan Mehsud on Monday visited the site of the Bus Rapid Transit project and directed the police and traffic sergeants to ensure smooth flow of traffic in the city.
The IGP visited different parts of the city and inspected the arrangements made for the smooth flow of traffic at alternative routes. Capital City Police Officer, Mohammad
Tahir, Senior Superintendent of Police (Operations), Sajjad Khan, and SSP Traffic Yasir Afridi briefed the
IGP about the arrangements made for the smooth flow of traffic.
The police chief directed the traffic police to ensure that commuters were properly guided on the alternative routes with road signs. He ordered deployment of more cops on these routes to facilitate motorists.
