Anti-polio drive starts

LAHORE: A three-day anti-polio drive started on Monday (today) in the provincial metropolis. Lahore Deputy Commissioner Sumair Ahmad Syed initiated the anti-polio drive at Samanabad Hospital. While talking to media, he said 1.7 million children below the age of five would be administered polio drops for which 4,477 polio teams have been constituted. “Special camps in hospitals, airports and bus stands have also been set up to vaccinate polio drops”, DC Lahore said. He appealed to citizens to cooperate with polio teams. He directed all the officials concerned to monitor the drive in their respective jurisdiction.
