Pakistan claim gold in Asian Indoor Rowing C’ship

KARACHI: Pakistan on Sunday lifted one gold, one silver and one bronze medal in the Asian Indoor Rowing Championship held at Johar Bahru, Malaysia.
According to the information provided by Pakistan Rowing Federation (PRF), Pakistan captured gold in the Open Mix four event. The country was represented by Maqbool Ali, Rashid Hussain, Rabia Amjad and Naila Nano in this event.
Meanwhile, Pakistan got silver in the lightweight pair, carrying Muzammil Shehzad and Wali Ullah Khan.The national team claimed bronze in the lightweight Mix four. Muzammil Shehzad, Wali Ullah Khan, Naila Nano and Nighat Kausar were part of Pakistan’s squad.The PRF said that this was after 20 long years that Pakistan put up such a fine show in the continental event in which 15 nations showed their worth.
