Villager shot dead by Indian BSF

KASUR: The Indian BSF killed a villager near Ollaykay village in the limits of Ganda Singh police on Saturday.
According to Ganda Singh police, Babar Ali of Kamalpura village was shot dead by the Indian BSF near the Pak-India border. The firing alerted the Rangers personnel who searched the area and found the body of Babar. The Rangers handed over the body to Ganda Singh police which was later shifted to the DHQ Hospital for autopsy.
Meanwhile, two minor sisters died when they consumed limestone mistakenly at Hanjrai Kalan village in the limits of Pattoki police on Saturday.
Mahnoor, 4, and Iram, 2, daughters of farmer Abid Ali, and their cousin Abubakr, 3, mistakenly consumed limestone from the flower pots lying in the house in the absence of any family member. All three children fell unconscious. They were rushed to the THQ Hospital Pattoki but Mahnoor and Iram died. Earlier, a girl committed suicide at Bahadarpura village on Saturday.
Gulshan Bibi ended her life by taking poison. The motive behind the incident is said to be a domestic dispute.
