ISLAMABAD: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB), Lahore chapter, has recommended to its headquarters in Islamabad for placing the names of both the sons of former prime minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif—Hussain Nawaz Sharif and Hassan Nawaz Sharif—on the Exit Control List (ECL).
“We have received the recommendation from NAB-Lahore for placing the names of the sons of Nawaz Sharif on the ECL, which will be examined by the NAB headquarters, and after examining the request, forward it to the Interior Ministry,” said a senior official in the NAB when contacted to get their response on Friday.
An accountability court had ordered the initiation of the process of declaring Hassan and Hussain proclaimed offenders for not appearing before the court.
While a day earlier, The NAB had recommended to put the name of Finance Minister Senator Ishaq Dar on the ECL following the order of accountability court which issued non-bailable warrant for arrest of Senator Ishaq Dar.
