PAKPATTAN: A man was killed in a road accident on Monday.
Muhammad Ramzan, 35, of Chak No 427/EB, Burewala, and his two companions were taking vegetables to Pakpattan. When they reached near Chowk Jamal, Pakpattan, a speeding tractor trolley hit their vehicle, leaving Ramzan dead on the spot. His companions Haider, 35, and another man suffered critical injuries.
GIRL ABDUCTED: A girl was abducted on Monday.
Liaquat Ali, of Chak No 10/EB and his 14-year-0ld daughter (R) and a boy Muhammad Javed were coming back from fields, when Yaseen and his accomplices abducted his daughter.
In another incident, motorcyclist Zeeshan tried to kidnap daughter of Muhammad Yaseen near mohalla Fizan-i-Madina. He ran away when she raised a hue and cry.
TWO INFLICTED INJURIES: Two people were inflicted injuries in two different incidents on Monday.
Muhammad Yaseen was shot at and injured by his rivals near shop of Akram Rehmani in the locality of Ghulam Muhammad Town.
In the second incident, Ali Gohar was attacked and inflicted injuries by accused Jamal Akram and his accomplice over an issue of watering field in Chak No 21/EB.
POLIO DRIVE: A three-day anti-polio drive began on Monday. During the campaign some 306,238 children would be administered polio drops by 655 teams.
TRANSFERRED: The District and Sessions Judge Pakpattan Monday transferred some court officials, including Muhammad Raouf Wattoo, Aaqal Hussain, Tanveer Ahmad Shiekh, Azhar Parveez, Aaqal Hussain Chohan and Muhammad Khalid.
MAN LOOTED: A man was deprived of cash on Monday.
Safdar Ali was on the way to home after selling cigarettes near Chak No 157/EB, when two motorcyclist dacoits intercepted him and deprived him of Rs 65,000.
