Rajwana pays tribute to Agha Shorish

LAHORE: Punjab Governor Rafique Rajwana has said that a strong parliament and continuation of democratic tradition are vital to the solidarity of Pakistan.
Speaking at a seminar held at Lahore Press Club in memory of renowned journalist the late Agha Shorish Kashmiri, the Punjab governor said that criticism of governments should be based on positive intention and objective. He said that strengthening the parliament, continuation of democratic norms and solidarity of Pakistan were the priorities of the government.
Paying rich tribute to Agha Shorish Kashmiri, he said that his struggle and sacrifices for freedom of the press would be written in history with golden words. He said other than being a journalist who combated dictatorships and autocracies, Agha Shorish was also a staunch supporter of Khatam-e-Nabuwwat and a devotee of Holy Prophet (SAW).
