KOHAT: Threatening to block the highway, All Pakistan Oil Tankers Association continued protest against the National Highways Authority (NHA) on the fourth consecutive day on Thursday.
Yousaf Mashwani, chairman of the association, said the National Highways Authority had banned the oil tankers movement through the Kohat Tunnel for the last eight months.
Hundreds of oil-tankers were parked near the tunnel during the protest. The
drivers of the tankers have been demanding lifting the ban forthwith.
Yousaf Mashwani said that the association would halt oil supplies across the country if the ban was not lifted within 24 hours. He added that the drivers were forced to travel through the Kotal pass.
