PTDC shows film ‘Inside the Indus a Pakistani Odyssey’

Rawalpindi :Managing Director, Pakistan Tourism Chaudhry Abdul Ghafoor Khan, presided over a documentary film on the great adventure under the title ‘Inside the Indus A Pakistani Odyssey’ made by Kayaking Team from New Zealand led by Mike Dawson.
The team of Kayakers from New Zealand has made a comprehensive documentary on Pakistan-based Sporting Kayaking, in which the most dangerous threatening adventure of the river Sindh has been filmed from Skardu to Gilgit. On this occasion, Kuwaiti investors Abdul Suleman and Abdul Rehman Sarukho, and a UK-based Pakistani investor, Javed Ahmed Majid were also present.
Speaking to the audience, Chaudhry Abdul Ghafoor said that there is a lot of changes in the country's security situation and there is a remarkable increase in foreign tourists' growth in Pakistan. This year, compared to last year, the number of domestic and foreign tourists has witnessed a sharp growth, while the Pakistan's rank has increased globally. The New Zealand team’s documentary making is a proof of this. Pakistan is the most secure country for tourists. He said that adventure sports are just a component of Pakistan's tourism, because there are all types of tourism tourists in Pakistan.
He added that the documentary film made by Mike Dawson and his team will help bringing tourists in Pakistan and improve the image of Pakistan around the world. Adventure is a special feature of human nature and opportunities for adventure sports are ready welcome to all tourists in Pakistan. Managing Director PTDC gave shields and gifts to the Kayaking team and appointed Mike Dawson Pakistan's honorary tourism brand ambassador to the recognize his services to Pakistan for the promotion of tourism.
Kuwaiti investor from Pakistan, Kuwaiti investor Abdul Rasul Sarukho and Abdullah Suleman said that more than one hundred thousand Pakistanis living in Kuwait those are playing a key role in the development of Kuwait. We have realized that the kindness of Pakistani people and they are extremely lucrative and passionate. We are considering to look investing opportunities in Pakistan and will attract the people of Kuwait to visiting Pakistan.
Pakistani investor in the UK, Javed Ahmad Majid said that there are many projects in the tourism sector in Pakistan and tourists are more secure compared to all other countries in the world and there are extreme opportunities for investors. He described Pakistan as the best country of tourism.
New Zealand's Kayaker Mike Dawson said that before coming to the Kayaking campaign, many people tried to stop me to go to Pakistan but due to strong intention, our team came here and saw that international media reports and travel advisories are just based on lies and have no connection with Pakistan's worst far away.
The love and hospitality of the people of Pakistan is unbelievable, and due to their help, we could succeed in making this documentary film. He further added that this film will be launched in World Adventure Fairs and will help to overcome the misconceptions about Pakistan. With the help of this film, we will bring further kayaking and adventure groups to Pakistan next year.
