CHITRAL: The talented students from the far-off areas in the scenic valley would no more face accommodation problem as the ground-breaking ceremony of the girls hostel of Frontier Corps Public School Chitral was performed here on Wednesday.
The girl students would avail cheap accommodation to continue their studies without any hindrance. Chitral Scouts Commandant Col Naeem Iqbal, Deputy Quartermaster of Chitral Scouts Maj Fayyaz, Sarhad Rural Support Programme (SRSP) official Khadimullah, and Maulana Israruddin Al Hilal, the khateeb of Jamia Masjid Shahi Bazaar, were present on the occasion.
SRSP Chief Executive Officer Masoodul Mulk had last year announced in Drosh to carry out the project that would cost Rs4 million. It will help the students from the far-flung areas to get quality education.
Addressing the gathering, Col Naeem Iqbal lauded the efforts of the SRSP that is financing the project. He said the girl students would now be able to pursue their education. He said the SRSP was striving to provide facilities to the people from the underprivileged segments of the society. He said the Chitral Scouts would spare no effort to help the SRSP execute its uplift work in the scenic valley.
