Sindh Police Special Security Unit (SSU) in collaboration with the Shaheed Benazir Bhutto (SBB) Elite Police organized a Hostile Environment Awareness Training for university students on Tuesday.
The one day training session was attended by 40 students.
The training aimed to improve participants’ knowledge regarding management of multiple threats present in hostile environments and of ways to deal with them in an effective manner as well as to rehearse and practice safety and security procedures according to specific threats.
The course included both practical and theoretical training on awareness of threats, risks and personal security, unpredicted situations, inside/outside compound training, safety and security procedures for vehicle movement, management of threats related to protests and riots, kidnapping, hostage taking, hostage survival, awareness about weapons and mines, first aid medical training, threat risk and mitigation, training regarding firing arms.
