ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and Imran Khan’s close aide Naeemul Haque on Monday demanded of Finance Minister Ishaq Dar to tender his resignation. A disqualified prime minister was running the government while Shahid Khaqan Abbasi was merely a puppet.

He was talking to journalists outside the premises of Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP). While referring to NAB references against him, Naeem said, “Ishaq Dar has no shame. He should immediately resign. We are certain that he is destined to be awarded a jail sentence.”

He maintained that PTI did not have trust in the government and the system, as a puppet prime minister was taking orders from a disqualified premier.  The PML-N government, he alleged, had pushed the country towards economic disaster. “We don’t even have half of the money required to pay back our debts during the current year,” he claimed.

He came hard on NA Speaker Ayaz Sadiq for according welcome to Nawaz Sharif, a disqualified prime minister. He said, “Ayaz does not deserve to remain in his position as he today welcomed a disqualified prime minister at Islamabad airport.”

PTI leader Babar Awan said that every institution of the country was being influenced by a disqualified prime minister, as he alleged, “Nawaz Sharif wants to take institutions on the path of collision”.
