Teachers demand reinstatement

BAHAWALPUR: Hundreds of feeder teachers, including female teachers, of Rahimyar Khan district on Saturday staged a demonstration for their reinstatement outside the Rahimyar Khan Press Club.
The protesters said that the LHC Bahawalpur Bench had passed a direction for their reinstatement but they were roaming on roads for their jobs and now they and their children had reached to starvation. They warned if they were not reinstated, than they would all commit suicide collectively and the government would be responsible of it.
AIRPORT SECURITY ARRANGEMENTS INSPECTED: Bahawalpur Division Commissioner Captain (retd) Saqib Zafar and RPO Ahsan Sadiq on Saturday visited the airport here to check security arrangements.
After the inspection, the commissioner and the RPO also addressed the ASF staffers and asked them to perform duty with vigilant eye and responsibility. Meanwhile, these officers were also briefed by Special Protection Unit SP Mehmoodul Hassan on the security measures adopted for under construction Quaid-e-Azam Solar Energy Park. DPO Sarfraz Falki was also present.
