LAHORE :Eleven assistants of Punjab University (PU), who were awaiting promotions for many years, have been promoted to administrative officers.
The promotions were done on the directives of the university Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Zafar Mueen Nasir. An office orders distribution ceremony was held at committee room of the vice-chancellor’s office here on Thursday.
Dr Zafar Mueen Nasir, Registrar Dr Muhammad Khalid Khan, Additional Registrar II Jalil Tariq, Deputy Registrar Imtiaz Ahmed and newly-promoted admin officers were present on the occasion.
The officials promoted included Muhammad Sarfraz Khan, Nouman Iftikhar, Syed Ausaaf Haider, Shabbir Munir, Muhammad Akram, Mazhar Iqbal, Jamil Ahmad, Intikhab Alam, Abdul Qudoos, Nadeem Mohy-ud-Din and Muhammad Shafique.
PhDs: Punjab University (PU) has awarded PhDs to three scholars.
Ghulam Shabbir, son of Peer Muhammad, has been awarded a PhD in Microbiology and Molecular Genetics, Muhammad Tarique, s/o Mian Abdul Ghani, in Communication Studies and Salman Tariq, s/o Tariq Mehmood, in the subject of Space Science after approval of his thesis entitled “A Study on Spatio-Temporal Distribution, Properties and Transport of Atmospheric Aerosols Over the Pakistan Using Remote Sensing”.
