A condolence reference was organised by the Fatima Jinnah Women University (FJWU) to pay glowing tribute to its former vice chancellor Professor Dr. Saeeda Asadullah Khan for her efforts for the promotion of education and research in the country.
In the reference, Higher Education Commission Chairman Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed, family members, colleagues and students appreciated her outstanding efforts for development of higher education in the country.
Speaking on the occasion, Higher Education Commission Chairman Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed said that she was a wonderful lady and always ready to accept challenges. She was an excellent teacher, good leader, sincere friend and a loving sister. She left behind very good memories which will keep her alive in hearts of her colleagues, friends and students. She lived a wonderful life and "I hoped that she will be blessed hereafter. He added that with his death the academia had lost a competent person whereas they had lost a good colleague and friend.
Senator, Razina Alam said that she was a role model for all of us. She was a great person, a person who did not make any mistake in her life. Talking about her relationship, she said that Dr Saeeda Asadullah was like a friend and a sister.
NUML Dean Dr. Sheezra Munawar eulogised her great qualities and shared her experiences while working with great lady, Professor Dr. Saeeda Asadullah Khan. She added that she was a great person and her services would be remembered in golden words for a long time.
In her condolence message to the bereaved family, FJWU Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Samina Amin Qadir prayed to Almighty Allah to bless the departed soul in eternal peace and grant courage to the deceased family members to bear the irreparable loss with fortitude.
Later, 'fateha' was offered for the departed soul and all participants expressed solidarity with the bereaved family.
Her colleagues and students also shared their thoughts and paid tributes to Dr. Saeeda Asadullah Khan. They said that her contributions as a researcher and educationists cannot be denied.
