MANSEHRA: Former provincial minister Haq Nawaz Khan has appreciated the government notification declaring Baffa-Pakhal a tehsil.
“We also demand status of a tehsil for Shinkiari,” Haq Nawaz told reporters in Schain on Sunday.
He said that Konsh and Siren valleys stretching over a wide area should be made part of Shinkiari tehsil.
He added that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf-led government had announced to give Shinkiari tehsil status but it was yet to fulfil its commitment with people. “When there would be small administration units, the government could serve people in a better way,” he said.
